The Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner’s Strategic Plan for 2019 – 2021
On Anti-Slavery Day, October 18th, the Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner, Dame Sara Thornton, published the Strategic Plan for 2019 – 2021, outlining priorities for the coming years for the UK in combating modern slavery.
The report highlights four key focus areas:
- Improving victim care and support
- Supporting law enforcement and prosecutions
- Focusing on prevention
- Getting value from research and innovation
The release of the new strategy closely follows the release of the Government’s 2019 UK Annual Modern Slavery Report, released earlier this month.
