Research Collaborations encouraged for NEW Conflict-related Funding Calls
Drawing upon funding allocated from the Global Challenges Research Fund, PaCCS partners, the ESRC and AHRC, are inviting proposals for two calls to support interdisciplinary and innovative research in areas relevant to the PaCCS Conflict Theme.
As part of these calls, academic researchers and practitioners are encouraged to explore possible collaborations through a newly established networking database, where offers for collaboration can be submitted and shared with others interested in the calls. It is hoped this will facilitate networking opportunities and lead to the creation of research groups. Offers may include research partnerships, case studies, datasets and secondments.
PaCCS Interdisciplinary Research Innovation Awards on Conflict and International Development
This call aims to support inter-disciplinary research innovation and international collaboration focused on the interconnections between conflict and international development and with the potential to contribute to the welfare (broadly defined) and/or economic development of Low and Middle Income Countries (LMICs). Full proposals are invited for Interdisciplinary Innovation Awards of up to £100,000 (fEC) and up to 18 months duration.
Proposals are required to span the remits of the AHRC and ESRC, combining substantial insights and expertise from both the social sciences and arts/humanities as well as involving wider disciplinary inputs where appropriate. Proposals are also required to involve collaboration with non-academic partners in Low or Middle Income Countries or organisations which support international development.
