GCRF ‘Conflict Intersections’ Global Partnership Development Awards

AHRC, on behalf of UKRI, has now launched the GCRF Conflict Intersections funding call. Open to the remits of all research councils, this funding initiative is part of the Global Challenges Research Fund’s Collective Programme

The funding call will support collaborative, interdisciplinary research focused on the intersections between conflict and fragility, and wider development challenges, with a focus on responding to the SDGs, and particularly SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. Projects may also address issues such as health, environmental resilience, sustainable cities and food systems, as well as cross-cutting development issues such as gender, inequalities, poverty reduction and sustainable livelihoods.

Applicants may apply for funding of up to £200,000 (fEC) over a period of between 12 and 24 months in duration.  Applications are welcome from researchers based in the UK or from organisations based in Low and Middle Income countries (LMIC) on the DAC list of ODA recipients.  All applications must include partnership and collaboration between UK and LMIC participants.

This cross-portfolio call will contribute to the GCRF Security Protracted Conflict, Refugee Crises and Forced Displacement portfolio and to the other portfolios steered by the GCRF Challenge Leaders.
