Digital Wildfire launches animation on responsible use of social media
Digital Wildfire: Take Care of Your Digital Self
Digital Wildfire, a project commissioned under the Partnership’s Ethics and Rights in a Security Context grant, has launched a short animation to encourage young people to “Take Care of Your Digital Self”.
The animation raises awareness of the fact that posting on social media creates a permanent digital footprint that cannot be controlled. It was developed collaboratively with schools and is being used as part of a package of teaching and learning materials for e-safety lessons on social media and responsibility.
The video was launched at a Digital Wildfire workshop on Governing Social Media in London in January 2016.
