Cyber Research and Development Programme Briefing
Luigi Rebuffi, Chair of the European Organisation for Security (EOS), along with Stephen Rhodes, Assistant Director for Cyber Security at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport will be giving a presentation on the 2nd February at 1600 at ADS (Salamanca Square, 9 Albert Embankment, London, SE1 7SP). They will discuss Cyber security activities at the European Level.
The key initiative that they will discuss is the European Commission’s (EC) Cyber Research and Development Programme. It is expected that the EC will spend 500 million Euros through the programme with additional private sector investment expected. There are opportunities for UK companies and research-teams to become involved directly and help to shape the agenda. EOS’s primary concern, as they work with the EC, is to ensure that this programme is focused on user-needs and leads directly to procurement.
