The National Law Enforcement Data Programme (NLEDP) Suppliers’ Engagement Event
4 July 2016
ADS, as Secretariat to the UK’s Security and Resilience Industry Suppliers Community (RISC), is inviting companies to attend the Home Office National Law Enforcement Data Programme (NLEDP) supplier engagement event on the afternoon of Monday 4th July in central London.
The National Law Enforcement Data Programme (NLEDP) is being run by the Home Office to look at the future strategic provision of critical national policing IT capabilities to better support the fight against crime and to protect the public.
NLEDP will achieve this through the use of more modern technology and interfaces to transform the way policing and law enforcement access and use national data. One of its key objectives is to determine the future need for new services to make national data easy to access by front line officers to inform local policing decisions. This will ultimately result in the implementation of a new Law Enforcement Data Service (LEDS) and the transition of users, functionality and data from PNC and PND into LEDS.
Since the last Suppliers’ Engagement event in July 2015, the Programme has made significant progress in developing the overall architecture and transition strategy. In addition, the Programme has also appointed client-side support to progress these important work streams.
The Programme would now like to reconvene with suppliers to update them on overall progress and also how the Programme is expecting to engage with suppliers when seeking a build partner, as well as its associated procurement strategy.
In order to register, please complete and return the attached NDA to Eleanor.rice@adsgroup.org.uk no later than Monday 27 June 2016.
Further details and an agenda will be circulated to registered attendees nearer the time.
