Conflict Prevention and Peacebuilding in New Contexts

The Oxford Network of Peace Studies (OxPeace) is holding it’s 2nd annual training course on Conflict Prevention and Peacebuilding in New Contexts.

As the conflict prevention and peacebuilding landscape evolves around us, new tools are needed to tackle the global security challenges of the 21st century.  This 3-day intensive course will bring together practitioners and students to develop their understanding of key concepts and issues in contemporary conflict prevention and peacebuilding. Sessions will include case studies and exercises facilitated by experts in each field across the areas of: 

  • New technology, conflict and peace
  • Peacebuilding in the context of transnational organised crime
  • Peacebuilding through arts and culture
  • Conflict resolution in the context of terrorism
  • Peacebuilding and gender
  • Safety and security for peacebuilders
