Horizon 2020 Secure Societies Briefing and Networking Day
09.30am – 4.30pm, Wednesday 21, January 2015
Hosted by the Knowledge Transfer Network, the Horizon 2020 Secure Societies Briefing and Networking Day will provide a number of briefings about the Horizon 2020 programme and information on how to apply.
Participants will also be offered the opportunity to give a short “pitch” about their research ideas in order to assist with consortia formation.
The Horizon 2020 programme is the biggest EU Research & Innovation programme ever with nearly €80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014-2020).
There are 22 different areas – one of which is Secure Societies – Protecting Freedom and Security of Europe & Its Citizens.
This challenge is about undertaking the research and innovation activities needed to protect our citizens, society & economy as well as our infrastructures & services, our prosperity, political stability & well being.
