PaCCS Arts & Film Festival

19 – 29 April 2018 | Bath

PaCCS Arts & Film festival seeks to create awareness of the conflict-related issues currently taking place in and beyond our borders.

This innovative multi-arts festival is aimed at film and art lovers who wish to explore the topics of migration, displacement, interculturalism, social barriers and integration through other eyes. Being held across a variety of popular venues in Bath, PaCCS Fest is the first festival of its kind ever organised in this picturesque UNESCO World Heritage City.

The Festival will take people on a journey to explore the different spheres of social, cultural and political conflict through a collection of artistic manifestations; from film screenings and an outdoor photography installation to workshops, debate sessions and a visual arts exhibition.

“We believe that the best way to understand the impact that conflict has on people around the world is to listen to the voices of those on the frontline of conflict and to examine the subjective experience and the psychological implications of migration, displacement and identity.”

Natalia Rodríguez (PaCCS Marketing & Comms Officer)

The goal of the Festival is to challenge the stereotypical representations of migrants and refugees we see in Western mainstream media and portray a realistic, yet more powerful, depiction of migration and displacement.

Programme of events
