A Policy Forum for London Keynote Seminar
[Next steps for crime prevention, addressing key crime trends and improving police performance]
The focus of this seminar is to implement London’s new policing strategy – established in the Mayor’s Police and Crime Plan 2017-2021 – and the implications of key proposals for local boroughs, emergency services, businesses and communities.
Discussing relevant UK-wide, including latest crime trends, challenges for community safety and engagement and developing efficiency and public confidence in policing, as well as economic crime – although the primary focus will be policy in London. - Publication of An independent review of London’s preparedness to respond to a major terrorist incident, assessing the resilience of the Capital’s emergency services following acts of terror – the report’s author, Lord Harris of Haringey is a keynote speaker; and
- Recently released end of year crime statistics indicating a disproportionate rise in violent, knife and gun crime in London.
